Irene Tilmouth
Irene Tilmouth was born in Alice Springs in 1965 and has always lived in the Northern Territory Central Desert area of Australia.
Irene grew up on Alcoota Station and now she lives and works a few kilometre down the road at Engawala Community. Irene enjoys painting with acrylic on canvas and also carving traditional wooden artefacts which she sells through the Engawala Art Centre gallery, Art Centre website and local outlets. Irene started painting when she was a teenager and learnt from her Mother and Grandmother who were also Artists.
Irene's paintings are mostly of bush tucker and honey ant themes which is her dreaming.
