Sharon Tilmouth
Sharon Tilmouth was born at the Alice Springs Hospital. She grew up living at Mulga Bore outstation and Engawala Community. Engawala is located two hours north-east of Alice Springs on the Plenty Highway. She mainly speaks Eastern Anmatjere and English but can also understand other languages in the surrounding areas.
Sharon grew up watching her grandfather and aunties paint. She was taught how to paint by her aunty at the community Art Centre. Sharon does dots on her artworks, it represents "Women hunting for bush tucker".
Sharon regularly paints at the new Engawala Art Centre where her work is for sale, she also sells at Northern Territory markets and exhibitions and through several local retail outlets.
In 2018 Sharon applied to study visual arts at Batchelor in Alice Springs. So far she has done drawing designs, sewing a dress, screening printing, painting, and gained computer skills. She has now completed certificate 3.
