This is a painting about bush medicine flowers found in Central Australia.

The plants grow wild in the desert area, often found on rocky outcrops and hillsides. After a big rain the tiny pink and yellow flowers start to grow. The leaves of the plant turn green and Aboriginal women harvest these leaves to make healing bush medicine. Aboriginal people living in the area know this plant and recognise the little flowers. The women crush and boil the leaves in water, this water can then be used to wash the skin and helps to heal colds, flu pains and skin irritations.
