This artwork shows my grandmother’s dreaming Budgerigar. It is important for me to paint about Budgerigar so I could pass it onto the next generations, storytelling is important in Aboriginal culture.
The two curved lines represents two women Napaljarrayi and Nungarrayi digging for water. The crosses painted in the centre are the Budgerigar footprints, the dots on the outside represents seeds.
