This artwork represents women collecting Bush Tomatoes into a handmade coolamon. In the local language it is called Kutjere. The Aboriginal women have been collecting bush berries since the old days. The best time to harvest the fruit is around Autumn and Winter months. It is a small plant that grows well in the dry Central desert and it tastes sweet and a bit tangy. Bush berries are easy to find as it grows wild along the road.
