This painting is about the native bush flowers that grow wild around Central Australia.
The flowers come out in winter and early spring after it rains. The bush medicine plant has tiny yellow flowers and the bush tomato plant has tiny pale pink/purple flowers. The plants might then produce bush tucker that will be collected by local people or bush medicine that women will then collect and prepare for healing. The green leaves are harvested from the bush medicine plant and the seeds fall on the ground or are carried by the wind to grow more plants, this is a story about renewal on the land.
