This picture represents the megafauna from the Miocene epoch era living at Alcoota about 8 million years ago and the bones that have been discovered recently. These fossils are now on display at Megafauna Central Museum in Alice Springs.

Pre historic animals of the Central Desert Country also show the women using digging sticks to find bush potatoes and collecting them into a large Coolamon. Bush potatoes are plentiful after the rain.
