When heavy rain falls on the Central Desert, the dry land changes quickly. Creeks and rivers that are usually empty begin to flow, carrying water through the sandy country. Rock holes fill up with fresh, clean water, and this brings life back to the land.

Birds, insects, and small animals come to drink and search for food. The grass starts to grow, and the leaves on the trees turn green again. The whole landscape looks fresh, alive, and renewed.

This painting shows how important rain is for the desert. It feeds the land, the plants, the animals and the people who live there. The coloured dots in the artwork represent seeds that fall to the ground. When the earth is damp, these seeds wake up, sprout, and grow into new plants.

This painting celebrates this cycle of renewal. It reminds us that even in the driest places, life returns after the rain.
